Fax machines themselves are relics, possible technofossils - man-made objects that become part of Earth’s future geological record.
The thermal prints were used to produce a low-fi collective artists’ book and this limited edition published by RRose Editions was
available for purchase to Offprint (2026) Art Book Fair’s audience held at 180 Strand, London, WC2.
Work made by participating artists Adam Basanta, Santiago Martinez Benedetti, Antony Cairns, Susan Collins, Stewart Hardie, Julie F Hill,
Aspen Mays, Marcel Schwittlick, Travess Smalley, Claire Strand, Jaime Sebastian Vera, Corinne Vionnet and NASA Archive Mars 2020, relates to photography, technological relics or image transmission, making the installation and the book meta. The book hosts a conversation between the artists' work and my own, a loose communication structure created through conceptual sentences, thoughts and reciprocal communication.
